IR. Joo Hen Sin
Ir. Joo Hen Sin holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio University, U.S.A. and is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia (NO: C111832) and a member of the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia (MIEM) and the Association of Consulting Engineers, Malaysia (ACEM No. 1159) as well as having achieved quality recognition by Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (No. SPAN QP 0095).
In January 2021, he was appointed as General Manager for the overall coordination, planning, monitoring and implementation of projects undertaken by the Company. He has accumulated more than 34 years of experience in the construction industry.
He started his career as a Project Engineer with an engineering consultancy firm in July 1989 in the United States of America. He was subsequently promoted to Senior Engineer in March 1991. He then returned to Malaysia and joined a well established local engineering consultancy firm and stayed on for about 24 years until March 2015. During this period, he served in various capacities and involved / led in feasibility studies, master planning, detail design & tender documentation, project management, contract administration of sewerage and water works projects such as water treatment plant, dams, pipelines, reservoirs, booster stations etc. of various magnitude and complexities. In between, from April 19194 till March 2004, he was assigned as the Resident Engineer for two (2) water projects.
Ir. Joo joined ASIA BARU as Project Director in April 2015 and subsequently redesignated to his current position of General Manager in January 2021.
